Property Acquisition

The Monroe Area CIC is able to assist in commercial and industrial development projects by owning and selling land and buildings. These projects typically involve land market transfers at or slightly below market rate and are part of an expansion or development project.

In 2016, the CIC was an integral part in the redevelopment of an abandoned former car audio installation facility into a new Dunkin' Donuts, which also encouraged the redevelopment of the adjacent gas station.  In order to facilitate this project, the CIC purchased two parcels at the interchange from the Ohio Department of Transportation and sold the parcels to adjacent property owners.
